Our promise
In simple terms
A report alone will not automatically suspend, shame, or terminate your account.
Schaire is built on Freedom with Due Process. Members may report content or behavior, but a report is an allegation — not a finding of guilt. Ordinary reports do not automatically suspend accounts, apply public stigma labels, or terminate membership.
Ordinary reports
In simple terms
When someone reports you, your account stays active while trained reviewers assess the case.
Reports create private moderation cases for human review. Unless an urgent safety exception applies, reported accounts retain normal access while review is pending. We do not display public 'reported' or 'flagged' badges based solely on report volume.
Human review for significant actions
In simple terms
Suspensions, permanent restrictions, and terminations require a person — not just an algorithm.
Significant enforcement actions — including suspensions, permanent feature restrictions, verification revocation, and account termination — require documented human review, a stated policy basis, and preservation of evidence. Automated tools may assist triage; they do not alone decide major outcomes.
Reasons and transparency

If we take significant action against your account, you will know why.
Members receive clear, non-abusive explanations for significant enforcement actions through their private Account Standing page. We do not publicly expose report counts, moderation history, or standing details to other users.
Appeals

You can challenge significant decisions through a structured appeal.
Appeals are available for significant enforcement actions. Members may submit a written response, provide context, and track status privately. Appeals are reviewed by qualified staff who were not the sole original decision-maker where practicable.
False and malicious reporting

Weaponizing reports against others is itself a violation.
Submitting false, coordinated, or bad-faith reports to harass others or manipulate enforcement is prohibited and may result in action against the reporting account following review.
Urgent safety exceptions

In rare emergencies — like credible violence threats — we may act immediately, but we still document and review.
In narrowly defined urgent situations (credible imminent violence, CSAM, or similarly severe harm), Schaire may temporarily restrict specific content or capabilities necessary to stop immediate harm. Such actions create moderation cases, preserve evidence, and receive prioritized human review as soon as practicable.
