Terms of Use
The agreement between you and Schaire governing use of the platform.
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Agreement to these terms
In simple terms
By creating an account or using Schaire, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Standards, and other policies we reference.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Schaire ("Schaire," "we," "us," or "our") governing access to schaire.com, related applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
Eligibility
In simple terms
You must meet minimum age requirements and provide accurate information. One person should not maintain multiple accounts to evade enforcement.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Schaire. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to maintain one primary account per natural person unless we expressly authorize otherwise (for example, separate business accounts in a future release).
Your account responsibilities
In simple terms
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account, whether or not you personally performed it. You must safeguard your login credentials, enable multi-factor authentication when available, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, or share your account. Schaire may suspend or terminate accounts that are compromised, inactive for extended periods where policy requires, or used in violation of these Terms.
Acceptable use
In simple terms
Use Schaire lawfully and respectfully. Harassment, fraud, spam, and rights violations are prohibited.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Community Standards. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: harassment, threats, hate and discrimination, fraud and deception, spam, malware distribution, unauthorized access, intellectual property infringement, exploitation of minors, and attempts to evade enforcement or manipulate reporting systems. Enforcement follows our Freedom with Due Process framework and Moderation & Appeals Policy.
Your content and intellectual property
In simple terms
You own what you create. You grant Schaire a limited license to host and display it so the platform can function.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant Schaire a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for technical purposes such as formatting and accessibility), display, and distribute your content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Platform as you direct through privacy and visibility settings. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license. Schaire's name, logos, design, and software are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.
Account suspension and termination
In simple terms
We can restrict or close accounts that violate policies, but significant actions require human review and appeals where applicable.
Schaire may issue warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent termination for violations of these Terms or applicable policies. Ordinary reports do not automatically suspend accounts. Significant enforcement actions require human review, documented reasons, and an appeal pathway where stated in our policies. You may delete your account at any time through account settings, subject to retention requirements in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
In simple terms
The platform is provided as-is. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHAIRE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Governing law and dispute resolution
In simple terms
Disputes are handled under specified governing law with an emphasis on fair process before litigation where practical.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise. Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@schaire.com to attempt good-faith resolution. Where arbitration or class-action waiver provisions are required for enforceability in your jurisdiction, those provisions will be set forth in a jurisdiction-specific addendum following legal review.
